Sushi packaging now matches the food with pre-packaged artistic flair.

While it is probably best to have sushi served fresh at a Japanese restaurant – preferably in Japan – sometimes a hankering, no matter where you are, must be served.

Nowadays, consumers can pick-up pre-packaged sushi at their local supermarkets—often sitting in either a plastic tray with either a plastic film wrap or contained within a clamshell pack. There’s nothing wrong with these package types of course, but some package designers from around the world have come up with some beautiful alternative designs to the typical package.

While some of the package designs you will see are being used in other countries across the globe, some are just awesome conceptual designs still waiting to house artistically sliced rolls of Japanese sushi.
