TORONTO—BlueWater Automation Inc. has formed a new partnership with TecSense GmbH to distribute and support its contactless Oxygen sensor technology into the North and South American markets.
TecSense is an Austrian, privately-owned company located outside of the city of Graz, quickly becoming a leading provider of opto-chemical sensor systems for industrial and scientific applications.
The current sensor portfolio consists of sensor systems for the determination of gaseous and dissolved oxygen in industrial processes, laboratories and of a non-invasive, contactless system to determine oxygen concentrations in sealed packages.
With TecPac, TecSense presents a unique System for contactless, non-invasive determination of oxygen concentrations in modified atmospheres. These modified atmosphere packages (MAP) are used to pack food, pharmaceuticals and electronic devices.
The partnership will allow BlueWater to continue to meet customer demands and react quickly to performance improvement opportunities on MAP packaging lines.
“We have conducted tests in the market and spoke to leaders in the protein and dairy industries who agree that this technology has some real merit in promoting food safety and a host of other benefits- the feedback from our customer base has been extremely positive,” says BlueWater president Jaime Alboim.
“With Blue Water Automation, TecSense has found a very powerful partner for the Americas. In Europe, our technology has already helped to drastically minimize rejection costs and optimize the overall quality of our existing customer’s product. We look forward to seeing the same results in the Americas,” states TecSense chief executive officer Johannes Krottmaier.
