Truckload of Nutella swiped in Germany
By Canadian Packaging staffGeneral
Either someone really likes Nutella, or there is a truckload of computers still awaiting to be stolen.
If someone from Germany is offering you “hot” chocolate on the cheap, chances are it’s part of the 20 tons of chocolate and Nutella stolen from a truck on August 15, 2017.
Police in Neustadt, Germany believe the confections stolen over the weekend could be worth upward of $80,000, according to German newspaper Deutsche Welle.
As a side note, this past weekend another trailer disappeared from Wittenberg, Germany, holding some 30 tons of fruit juice.
If it was milk, one might suspect the two thefts are related… in the mean time, Canadian Packaging magazine is doing what it can to spread the news about the Nutella theft.
And yes, this is a real story.
