Acquisition further expands TricorBraun’s presence in Canada

TORONTO, March 9, 2021 — TricorBraun, a world leader in packaging, today announced the acquisition of Quebec-based Emballages RODA, thereby strengthening its presence in Eastern Canada.

Serving its customers for nearly 40 years, RODA is a distributor of rigid plastic packaging intended for the chemical products and sealant cartridge markets, as well as the nutraceutical, juice, dry condiments and spices sectors. The acquisition of RODA will allow TricorBraun to also acquire Industries Rada.

This acquisition will allow TricorBraun to increase its strategic investment in Quebec, a market the company has served for over 25 years, by benefiting from a fully local inventory of inventory, dedicated team members and products manufactured by local supplier partners.

All members of the RODA team, including owner and CEO Stéphan Berthiaume, will remain employed by TricorBraun and will continue to operate from their sites in Quebec, becoming a division of TricorBraun Canada. RODA Packaging will now operate under the name “RODA, a division of TricorBraun” upon acquisition.

To build on its momentum, TricorBraun has partnered with management teams to acquire and promote the growth of more than 20 packaging companies across North America. RODA Packaging becomes TricorBraun’s tenth acquisition in the past four years and the first to be owned by Ares Management and the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
