NAPA, CA—Tapp Label Company, LLC—a Napa, California-headquartered label solutions provider—has acquired Metro Label, the Toronto-based global leader of label printing.
Founded in 1974, Metro Label specializes in high/decoration label, shrink/sleeve and flexible packaging markets for the wine, spirits, pharmaceutical, health, beauty, and other key industries. Clients are served throughout the USA, Canada, Central America and the Caribbean. Metro Label has received numerous awards for its environmental leadership in the label industry.
Tapp Label owner and chief executive officer David Bowyer notes that this fourth such acquisition in less than a year brings his company additional capabilities, Fortune 500 customers, and meets the goal of providing a dynamic East Coast location.
Tapp feels that Metro Label’s associates will benefit as a result of the strength of Tapp Label’s structure and focused investments which will drive future growth.
Metro Label will continue to be known as “Metro Label”, for Toronto-based customers and Tapp Label for West Coast customers. Tapp Label now operates from seven facilities on the East and West Coast, employs over 300 staff, and is one of the largest label companies in North America.
