Smart food cities: 130 mayors meet in Milan to phase metro food maze

Mayors from 130 cities have signed the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact (MUFPP) since it launched in October 2015 looking to promote good practices, solutions and expertise to take on urban food challenges.

A U.K. project to tackle childhood obesity and Riga’s green treatment of food waste are two of the first initiatives to come out of a pledge to collaborate on food challenges, signed by 130 global mayors.
