See Who Won At Glass Packaging Institute's Awards' Show

The Glass Packaging Institute (GPI)–a trade association representing the North American glass container industry–has named the winners of its 21st Annual Clear Choice Awards through a virtual event its Web-site featuring video of the winners and photos of award-winning product design.
“The winning package designs demonstrate that glass continues to be the ‘clear choice’ for consumers who want a package that provides a premium feel and also protects the products they are buying,” says Joseph Cattaneo, president of GPI. “Designing and packaging in glass for foods, beverages, and fragrances ensures your product has a competitive edge.”
This year’s Awards recognized 10 consumer product goods companies and their achievements in expanding the frontiers of glass packaging design in the following categories: overall package design, beer, wine, food, carbonated beverage, non-carbonated beverage, organic food or beverage, distilled spirits, flavored alcoholic beverage, and cosmetics or fragrances.
All 2010 winning products will be displayed at InterBev 2010, Sept. 22 – 24, 2010) in Orlando, FL, and at The Showcase of Packaging Innovations at PACK EXPO International 2010 (October 31 – November 3, 2010) at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.
Submissions for the 2010 Clear Choice Awards were judged on innovation (in container form and product category), package design (including container, label, and closure), and shelf impact.
Since 1989, the Clear Choice Awards has honored consumer product goods (CPG) manufacturers who expand the frontiers of glass packaging design by using glass containers in innovative ways. Sponsored by the GPI, this is the only awards program that recognizes the contribution glass packaging makes to the image and success of everyday products. From sparkling water to salsa, baby food to bottled fruit juices, beer to flavored rums, pasta sauce to pickles, the Clear Choice Awards are presented to products that triumph in glass.
