Plastic Moulders Limited purchased by Amcor

General Amcor Amcor Rigid Plastics Plastic Moulders LimitedToronto-babsed rigid plastic manufacturer acquired in $38-million deal.
Amcor has acquired Plastic Moulders Limited, a Toronto-based rigid converter of plastics business that manufactures containers and closures for the food, and home and personal care markets in North America.
The deal will cost Amcor CDN $38-million, but will provide ‘considerable synergies in terms of procurement, manufacturing costs and overhead’ says Amcor in a press release.
Amcor chief executive officer and managing director Ron Delia states, “The Amcor Rigid Plastics business has significant growth opportunities in market segments outside of the traditional non-alcoholic beverage markets. Our strategy to grow this business includes acquiring companies like Plastic Moulders that provide specialized manufacturing capabilities, which will enable Amcor to broaden our product offering for the benefit of current and future customers.
