Pizza Nova now offers a new, healthier pepperoni topping, sourced from animals that are Canadian-raised without antibiotics or hormones and vegetable grain-fed, becoming the first pizza company in Canada to do so.
Since 1963, the Italian-Canadian family franchise company, based in Toronto, has built its reputation on quality.
“Our improved pepperoni is another expression of our commitment to providing the best, freshest and healthiest ingredients anywhere,” says Pizza Nova president Domenic Primucci adding that the change in procedure does not change the taste of the pepperoni. “It’s still the same great taste that you know and love.”
“Consumers today are more conscious of what goes into their food, so it is always important for us to listen and adapt to their needs. We’ve been successful with a dairy-free mozzarella, trans-fat-free dough and gluten-free crust, so we believe this new pepperoni will be a huge hit for pizza lovers,” Primucci adds.

Meat in the pepperoni is a blend of beef and pork.
The improved healthier pepperoni follows Pizza Nova’s own recipe with Canadian-raised beef and pork, which are vegetable and grain-fed.
According to Pizza Nova, the beef used in its pepperoni is pasture grass-fed for 75 per cent of its life and 25 per cent vegetable grain-fed. The pork is vegetable grain-fedd for its entire life.
From over 140 locations across Ontario, Pizza Nova pizzas are made daily with fresh dough and sauce from vine-ripened tomatoes, picked, washed and packed within six hours, and the best ingredients available from reputable farmers and producers.
