New president for MeadWestvaco's Food packaging division

Food and CPG specialist Dianne Teer to lead MWV's Food packaging business.

The Richmond, VA-based MeadWestvaco Corporation has announced the appointment of Diane Teer as its new president of the Food packaging business.

Her duties will include leading profitable growth strategies, including building strong partnerships with food customers and driving innovative ‘shopper ready’ solutions across retail grocery channels.

Teer brings a wealth of experience around launching disruptive new consumer packaged goods products and actively aligning business segments to new and changing company values and growth strategies.

She recently served as president of World Kitchen, LLC, leading its North America division as well as global innovation for well known brands like Pyrex, Corelle, Corningware and Chicago Cutlery. Prior to World Kitchen, she held leadership positions in Frozen and Culinary Foods at Conagra Foods during her four year tenure. While there, she oversaw leading brands including Banquet, Marie Callender’s and Healthy Choice as part of the $2-billion frozen foods business, and provided strategic oversight for all dedicated functional areas and plants.

Teer also spent nine years at The Campell Soup Company during which she focused on growing and refreshing brands in the beverage and soup categories. As vice-president and general manager of the Beverage division, she led the successful rebranding of V8 and strategically managed a disciplined and effective approach to R&D and product innovation.

Other roles at The Campell Soup Company included president of the New Growth division, vice-president of Red & White Soups, and vice-president of marketing for the Canadian division. Prior to Campbell Soup Company, she led marketing efforts at The Nabob Coffee Company and the integration of its brands into Kraft’s portfolio following the acquisition by Kraft Canada.

Teer earned an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree from Canada’s University of Western Ontario and a Master of Business Administration from McMaster University.
