New flexibles CEO for DS Smith

General DS Smith Plastics DS Smith Plc Kevin GroganKevin Grogan is appointed as chief executive officer of Flexible Packaging, DS Smith, Plastics Division.
ROMEOVILLE, ILLINOIS—DS Smith Plastics —a division of DS Smith Plc—has appointed Kevin Grogan as chief executive officer of its Flexible Packaging business. In this capacity, he will be responsible for all of Plastics’ Flexible Packaging operations worldwide.
Grogan joined DS Smith, Plastics Division in 2011 as president of the Flexible Packaging business in North America with over 20 years’ experience within the packaging industry including executive roles at Pactiv Corporation, Tegrant and SCA Packaging.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
The Flexible Packaging business of DS Smith Plastics operates from 11 different manufacturing and sales sites in seven countries: Australia, Bulgaria, Germany, New Zealand, Slovakia, Thailand and the U.S.
DS Smith, Plastics Division is part of DS Smith Plc.—a €5-billion (~CDN $7.2-billion) plastics and packaging multinational with operations in 34 countries, employing 25,400 people.
DS Smith, Plastics Division operates from 28 sites in 14 countries. The Plastics Division businesses are focused on three main areas: Flexible packaging and dispensing solutions, rigid packaging and foam products.
