In September 2009, Multivac Canada signed a distribution agreement with PFM Packaging Machinery, North America.
In addition to Multivac’s well-known product range of thermoform rollstock machines, traysealers, vacuum chamber machines, MR-labelling systems, Multivac will now also offer total solutions within PFM’s line of horizontal and vertical form-fill-seal flowrappers, and other PFM packaging and support systems.
Similar distributorship agreements have been signed with Multivac sales companies in other countries and have proven to be successful.
The PFM line of equipment is manufactured in its manufacturing facility located in Newmarket, immediately north of Toronto. PFM stocks over $2-million in inventory, has a highly qualified engineering team for custom solutions and a highly-trained service deptartment. The PFM line of equipment includes horizontal flowrappers, VFFS (vertical form/fill/seal) baggers, multihead scales, automatic lines, and robotic pick and place solutions.
