Intelligrated adds new Alvey Robotics lab

General Alvey Robotics Lab IntelligratedNew lab in St. Louis to support research and development of new robotic material handling technologies.
Intelligrated, a leading North American-owned automated material handling solutions provider has opened an Alvey Robotics lab at its St. Louis, Mo. engineering and manufacturing facility.
The 5,050-square-foot research and development lab focuses on concepting and applying new robotic innovations, as well as chance for customers to perform equipment testing and demonstrations prior to installation.
Research and development in Intelligrated’s Alvey Robotics Lab will focus on the advancement of robotics in automated material handling applications, including palletizing, depalletizing, case packing and picking and placing. Spearheaded by the company’s Robotics Integration Group, activities will emphasize innovation in end-of-arm tooling, vision systems, operator interface, controls and the development of associated equipment.
The Alvey Robotics Lab will also offer proof-of-concept demonstrations for current and potential Intelligrated customers. Visitors will be able to preview how robotic solutions handle their products and interact with proposed solutions firsthand. Additionally, customers will be offered hands-on operator and maintenance training.

The new Alvey Robotics Lab will also provide educational opportunities for local students and universities.
