Huhtamaki has changed the name of its Molded Fiber business segment to Fiber Packaging, taking effect as of April 27, 2017.

Although the name change implies no immediate changes in the segment’s product range or manufacturing technology, it is a better fit for the future.

“We see many exciting business opportunities with new renewable raw materials and new products,” says Fober Packaging executive vice-president Petr Domin. “The new name, focusing on new solutions rather than production technology, helps us drive a commercial focus and also better reflects the different types of products we will offer our customers in the future.”

Huhtamaki is a global specialist in packaging for food and drink. In 2016 the company had net sales totaled €2.9 billion ($4.3-billion ). The Group has its head office in Espoo, Finland. Its parent company is Huhtamäki Oyj.
