Name change not to affect immediate business outlook.

Huhtamaki has changed the name of its Molded Fiber business segment to Fiber Packaging, taking effect as of April 27, 2017.

Although the name change implies no immediate changes in the segment’s product range or manufacturing technology, it is a better fit for the future.

“We see many exciting business opportunities with new renewable raw materials and new products,” says Fober Packaging executive vice-president Petr Domin. “The new name, focusing on new solutions rather than production technology, helps us drive a commercial focus and also better reflects the different types of products we will offer our customers in the future.”

Huhtamaki is a global specialist in packaging for food and drink. With a network of 76 manufacturing units and additional 24 sales-only offices in altogether 34 countries, the company is well-placed to support customer growth wherever they operate. Mastering three distinctive packaging technologies, approximately 17,000 employees develop and make packaging that helps great products reach more people, more easily.
