HARTING nationwide tour: bringing connectivity solutions on the road.

Elgin, IL—HARTING, Inc. of North America has developed a Roadshow Truck that will travel across North America showcasing its connectivity solutions.

The truck showcases industrial and small form industrial connectors, cable assemblies, board level connectors, backplane assemblies, industrial Ethernet switches, and HARTING’s industrial RFID (radio frequency identification) solution. It brings HARTING one step closer to their goal of supporting the engineering community with the industry knowledge they need for their daily tasks.

“HARTING is committed to educating the market on new technologies,” says HARTING president and chief executive officer Jon DeSouza. “Engineers need the right tools to better inform themselves when choosing a connector solution. We aren’t here to just sell a product.

“We want to show what’s out there in the world of industrial connectivity and help to find the solution that’s right for a specific application.”

Director of marketing communications Christina Chatfield adds: “Each customer’s need is different, and that’s why the Roadshow Truck offers a very targeted user-experience through interactive apps and interchangeable product displays. That way the customer can choose what he or she wants to focus on.”

The Roadshow Truck is an expansion of the educational initiatives HARTING launched last year through their free, web-based portal HARTING-U.com. HARTING-U is the engineer’s single source for white papers, FAQ’s, tutorial videos, best practices, technical articles, case studies, customer testimonials, apps and press information regarding industrial connectivity.

The HARTING Roadshow Truck started its yearlong tour on September 18, 2015 at Boyce Technologies in New York City.  The tour will then continue through the U.S. and Canada.  If you are interested in a visit, check out the schedule at www.HARTINGRoadshowTour.com.

The HARTING Technology Group, family owned and based in Germany, employs more than 4,000 people globally with subsidiaries and branch offices in 40 countries. With production facilities in Europe, Asia and the U.S., the HARTING portfolio of connectivity solutions focuses on multiple levels, from the machine to the device and into the communication infrastructure. The U.S. facility in Elgin, Illinois is one of three HARTING locations that manufactures the HIS product line (HARTING Integrated Solutions – backplanes) and custom cable assemblies. The company’s core business is intelligent and high-performance connection technology. HARTING works in almost all industrial markets with a focus on requirements for robust, reliable connectivity solutions.
