Canadian buyers can access a world of Brazilian flavours with CCBC’s virtual round

General

On November 23 and 24, the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada (CCBC) is affording Canadian buyers (importers and distributors) the unique opportunity to connect directly with suppliers from the Brazilian food and beverage industry, granting them access to a vast and diverse world of products and ingredients. This event can open the door to a vast well of ingredients from Brazil.

This Brazilian food and beverage virtual round, organized and hosted by the CCBC, isn’t your typical networking event. Canadian buyers will be matched with suppliers based on demands and product compatibility, ultimately having the chance to personally meet in individual B2B meetings. The CCBC through this virtual round is opening the door for Canadian buyers to exotic, high-quality ingredients including fruit and vegetables, non-alcoholic beverages, edible oils, seasonings, condiments, herbs and so much more. The B2B meetings will take place on November 23 and 24 via zoom, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. EDT and will be 20-25 minutes in duration.

Having the ability to tap into Brazil’s mass of food and beverage products is like finding the golden ticket when it comes to gastronomy. Brazil fills a gap in local Canadian products as its climate is ideal for offering diverse products and ingredients that can’t be produced in Canada be it due to the winter or the climate as a whole. Canada consistently relies on Brazilian imports of food and beverage products. The demand for Brazilian products in Canada comes as no surprise – Canadian imports of prepared fruits reached US $203.3 million in 2019, representing a steady growth that’s showing no signs of slowing. Even through these challenging times of border closures and other unforeseen obstacles, imports of Brazilian products remained strong and some even increased.

Canadian buyers are in good hands with the CCBC, to put it lightly. For almost half a century, the CCBC has been working to facilitate and promote matchmaking and trade between Canadian and Brazilian companies, making it easier for Canadian buyers to connect with Brazilian entities, navigate bureaucratic procedures for trade and learn about Brazilian markets, ultimately granting access to Brazilian ingredients and products.
