Ball Completes Acquisition of Chinese Beverage Can Plant

Ball Corporation, headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado, have purchased the remaining 65 per cent of Guangdong Jianlibai Group Co. Ltd., having owned since 1992, 35 per cent from a joint venture.

The acquisition for US$90-million, gives Ball the metal beverage can packaging plant and related assets. It also agreed to a long-term working relationship with Jianlibai, a leading Chinese beverage company, and its affiliate, Foshan Sanshui Jianlibao Trading Co., Ltd.
