Raising the bar on food safety

April 21, 2011   by Canadian Packaging Staff

On May 17, 2011, PAC – The Packaging Association will hold a seminar on food safety regarding the migration of packaging substances into food.

With all food manufacturers needing to be aware of the long-term health hazards posed by aromatic mineral oils and primary aromatic amines leaching from paper and flexible packaging into foods, this seminar will separate fact from fiction, discussing:

  • Consumer risk;
  • How to prevent migratory related health hazards;
  • What flexible packaging converters need to know about adhesives;
  • Should packaging manufacturers need to change ink types?

To be held at the Mississauga Convention Centre in Mississauga, Ont., the event is open to PAC members and non-members.
