PAC – Packaging Certification Program Fall 2010

PAC – The Packaging Association has announced its Fall schedule for its Packaging Certification Program, a one-of-a-kind program offered in French and English for packaging professionals recognized across the industry and features.

The Programme will offer exposure to leading packaging technologies; exclusive plant tours demonstrating applied theory; correct packaging vocabulary and terminology; resource texts including the course text, <Fundamentals of Packaging Technology by Walter Soroka; modular format to suit your busy schedules, and; valuable network of industry contacts and resources.

To achieve certification, four modules must be successfully completed.

Module 1: Graphic Design, Printing, Printing Prepress, Bar Codes, Food Safety, Food Preservation, Labels and Perspectives on Packaging.
Three days including a Plant Tour.

Module 2: Packaging Polymers, Sheet & Film Extrusion, Flexible Packaging, Injection Molding, Blow Molding and Bottle Design.
Three days including a Plant Tour.

Module 3: Paperboard & Folding Cartons, Specialty Packaging, Closures, Adhesives and Introduction to Sustainable Packaging.
Three days including a Plant Tour.

Module 4: Corrugate, Distribution, and Machinery, Packaging Law, Quality Management Systems and Planning a Production Line.
Three days including a Plant Tour.

Module 2 – Oct. 19-21

Module 3 – Nov. 9-11

Module 4 – Nov. 30 – Dec. 2

Members: $3295.00 + HST

Non Members: $4295.00 + HST

Individual Education Modules 
Members: $995.00 + HST per module
