PAC, Packaging Consortium has organized a confectionery plant tour of Nestlé Canada Inc.‘s Sterling Road facility on November 9, 2016.

The plant has been in operation since 1893, previously run by the Cowan Cocoa and Chocolate Company, which was later purchased by Rowntree Company. In 1988, Nestle purchased the Rowntree Company, and with it the Sterling Road factory which produces more than 18,000 tons of chocolate annually, supplying the Canadian market with Smarties, Coffee Crisp, Aero and Canada’s No. 1 chocolate bar, Kit Kat.

Sterling Road is a peanut free facility using cold-seal flow wrap, cartons and corrugated cases to package its confectionery products.

  • Exclusive to PAC Members. A maximum of two per company as limited space is available;

  • Safety shoes are required. Please bring your own.
