Hot mustard – hot package
The Association for Dressings & Sauces names Philippe The Original’s Hot Mustard as its 2014 Package of the Year.

ATLANTA—The Association for Dressings & Sauces (ADS) named its 15th annual Package of the Year Award winner: Philippe The Original for its Hot Mustard bottle.
The award was presented at the ADS Annual Meeting held October 11-13, 2014 at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida.
“Our board of directors, management and staff want to thank everyone at the ADS for giving our mustard bottle this prestigious award for its innovative shape,” says Julia Tauscher, restaurant managing partner. “Our General Manager, Richard Binder, worked with General Bottle to transition us from our mustard jar to the easy-to-use squeeze bottle with flip-top lid. It was an instant success with our customers and the demand for the product continues to grow.”
The Package of the Year Award is presented by ADS to increase the awareness of packaging in general and to celebrate the accomplishments of the packaging industry for dressing, sauce and condiment-related packages.
Nominations for the award were received and ADS members cast their votes for the package deemed most innovative at the ADS 2014 Technical Meeting in San Diego, California.
This is the first ADS Package of the Year Award for Philippe’s. Mold-Rite Plastics and Pretium Packaging were recognized as supporting vendors for the package’s flip-top closure and bottle, respectively.
The Association for Dressings & Sauces is an international trade association of manufacturers of salad dressings, mayonnaise, condiment sauces and the suppliers to the industry.
