Do you know what type of materials can be used in different food packaging? Thanks to a changing regulatory landscape, confusion can rear its ugly head onto what type of materials can be use in different food packaging, not to mention what can be used in different countries.
Attendees at the Packaging Trends 2016 Innovation Breakfast, will have an opportunity to learn about the Canadian, U.S. and European guidelines for food contact materials.
The event is offered by the NSF-GFTC, and will be presented by NSF International business unit manager of food contact materials and new services Orsi Dezsi.
Concerns that chemical migration from the packaging into the food may result in safety issues, changing in the composition or adverse effects on the taste and odor of foods are in the forefront of packaging legislation and regulators’ minds today.
In this session Dezsi will compare and contrast the different regulations and present examples as well as case studies of food packaging testing.
