kp is committed to a future with less waste and the sustainable protection of everyday needs.

Klöckner Pentaplast (kp) has created a fresh protein modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) tray which maximizes pallet space and reduces annual transportation costs.

kp’s Elite® MAP tray has an innovative de-nest solution which allows for 33% more trays per pallet and ultimately more trays per truck. Based on an annual volume of 20 million US 3-2.0 size trays, it is possible to fit 4,400 Elite® MAP trays per pallet, compared to the North American market standard of 3,300 trays per pallet. For businesses this would also mean 24% fewer pallets used per year; a perfect opportunity to save on transportation costs, pallet costs and storage, and ultimately reducing your carbon footprint.

kp is committed to a future with less waste and the sustainable protection of everyday needs. The Elite® MAP tray not only saves transportation costs and gives you a competitive edge but are also made from up to 95% post-consumer recycled PET which can be recycled again into protective food packaging, creating a closed loop process for tray-to-tray recycling.
