MINNEAPOLIS—Graco Inc. has announced its InvisiPac tank-free hot melt delivery system is named a finalist in the New Product or Service of the Year – Industrial Products & Services category in the 2014 American Business Awards.
The Stevie Awards are conferred in five programs: The American Business Awards, The International Business Awards, the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business, and the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service. A sixth program, the German Stevie Awards, will launch in August, 2014. Honoring organizations of all types and sizes and the people behind them, the Stevies recognize outstanding performances in the workplace worldwide.
More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and virtually every industry were submitted this year—a record, according to Stevie Awards officials. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony September 12, 2014, in San Francisco.
The InvisiPac is a revolutionary hot melt system for case and carton sealing. Its tank-free design puts an end to tank char, eliminates nozzle plugging and requires only ten minutes to reach operating temperature, three significant advantages over traditional hot melt and competitive tank-free systems.
“InvisiPac was engineered to solve the complex and costly problems associated with traditional hot-melt systems that rely on a tank to bring adhesives up to a temperature of 350°F or more,” says Graco senior product marketing manager Nick Long. “Without a tank attached to the system, InvisiPac eliminates both nozzle plugging and the need for constant tank scraping, which increases the amount of time the production line is up and running.”
In 2013, InvisiPac won the prestigious Gold Visionary Award by UBM Canon’s Packaging Group at the EastPack 2013 packaging industry trade show in Philadelphia.
