PAC announces promotion with Sustainable Team
Alan Blake retires and Rachel Morier is promoted to Director of Sustainability.
PAC, Packaging Consortium has announced that Rachel Morier, current program manager, has been promoted to director of sustainability and will oversee PAC’s sustainability programs including PAC NEXT and PAC FOOD WASTE, effective October 1, 2016.
“Rachel has been with PAC since the launch of PAC NEXT in 2011. She has been building expertise through collaboration with stakeholders across the packaging value chain. Rachel is passionate about tackling the challenges of reducing packaging and food waste and the associated costs for our members. She is ready to lead these important global initiatives in partnership with our PAC members,” says PAC president and chief executive officer James D Downham.
Alan Blake, having served as executive director of PAC NEXT since September 2012 and then also PAC FOOD WASTE since established in December 2013, will retire from his role and plans to spend his time with grandchildren, family and traveling.
“As a highly qualified expert on sustainable packaging Alan brought leadership and credibility to PAC and our PAC NEXT initiative throughout North America. He fostered relationships across the value chain and advanced our agenda on this important subject matter. Alan integrated the PAC FOOD WASTE initiative into our sustainable portfolio and today PAC is well-respected throughout the community.”
