Cleaning with a green cleaner is one thing, but a cleaner that also has homeowners reusing the packaging time and time again – now that‟s a total package.
Planet People, headquartered in Toronto are a Canadian manufacturer of sustainable green cleaning solutions, recently launching its new iQ line of household cleaning products.
The iQ line of cleaning products features high performance, plant-based formulas delivered in unique concentrated cartridges. The cleaner is toxin- and chemical-free but features a new and unique packaging system that takes “reuse” to a different level.
While most store-bought cleaners are made up a mix of about 95 per cent water with the remainder comprised of cleaning chemicals–many of which are harmful to users or the environment–iQ uses the water from your tap and a small cartridge of Earth-friendly concentrate that is mixed in your own spray bottle. Each time the cleaner runs out, just add more water to the spray bottle, pop in a new cartridge and use the cleaner again.
The revolutionary packaging subtracts the need for truckloads of water to be shipped to manufacturing facilities which create more toxic emissions. As well, by reusing the spray bottles plastic waste is reduced by 80 per cent compared to conventional spray bottles.
So not only are homeowners using eco cleaners, they are also putting the 3Rs to good use: Reducing their consumption of plastic, Reusing the spray bottles and then Recycling the tiny concentrated cartridges when refilling the bottles.
Products available are: iQ’s All-Purpose Cleaner; iQ’s Glass Cleaner; iQ’s Bathroom Cleaner; and iQ’s Floor Cleaner. iQ Starter Kits, which include a spray bottle full of solution, plus a cartridge, are approximately Cdn $6.49 depending upon the retailer. Concentrate cartridge REFills are approximately Cdn $2.79.
