PepsiCo Canada Updates Two Aquafina Brands

renovated the brand with an exciting new look that is now available on store shelves across Canada.
According to Cheryl Radisa, vice-president, consumer marketing, PepsiCo Beverages Canada, the investment toward modernizing the look and feel of the brand is rooted in the fact that PepsiCo is counting on continued growth for the Aquafina Plus+ Vitamins brand.
“Aquafina Plus+ Vitamins vitamin enhanced water has seen explosive growth in Canada,” says Radisa. “We believe that the introduction of brand renovations, and in-demand line extensions like the Aquafina Plus+ Vitamins 10 Cal brand with a pure stevia extract natural sweetener, are going to further that leadership position.”
One of the brand renovations is a dramatic new packaging change featuring a new wave-shaped 591 mL bottle that evokes the element of water in its design to convey a refreshing look. It was designed by Shikatani Lacroix Design Inc. of Toronto, and is being produce by Graham Packaging in York, PA.
“In the highly competitive beverage industry, products and brands need to continue to evolve and add to the consumer experience,” Radisa continues. “This is a very noticeable upgrade for our recent Aquafina Plus+ Vitamins brand, and we are excited to see the changes begin to take shape when the new bottle arrives on shelf this week.”
Building on PepsiCo’s non-carbonated beverage advantage, the Aquafina Plus+ Vitamins brand first launched in Canada in 2007, provides health-conscious consumers a variety of great-tasting vitamin-enhanced water beverages featuring: Pomegranate Cherry, Blackberry Grape and Passionfruit Citrus. These products were reformulated in 2008, to feature lower calories, a translucent formula and new flavours. In 2009, the company unveiled Aquafina Plus+ Vitamins 10 Cal, a low-calorie vitamin-enhanced water and the first beverage in Canada to feature a pure Stevia extract all-natural sweetener, called PureVia. Three flavours of the Aquafina Plus+ Vitamins 10 Cal brand are currently offered: Black and Blue Berry, Acai Fruit Punch and Tropical Cherimoya.
