Book celebrates international contemporary package design via the Pentawards.

Featuring a selection of over 400 Pentawards-winning works from 30 countries, The Package Design Book 2 from Pentawards is now available for purchase.

Everyone knows that because packaging is the first thing a customer sees when looking at a product, superior packaging can make the sale, and yet, because packaging often ends up in the garbage after the consumer gets the product home, packaging is an underrated art form.

But, thanks to the folks at Pentawards, who hold annual global awards presentation for packaging, the humble package and its designers get their due.

With the new The Package Design Book 2, all the Pentawards winners from 2011 and 2012 are featured, with the book providing a vivid demonstration of creativity in every form of packaging. Readers will discover, through introductory essays, product descriptions and plenty of images, what drives design industry leaders and agencies behind these creations which are so much part of our everyday lives.

The 432-page hardcover book is a multilingual edition in English, French and German and is available through the Pentawards website: www.pentawards.org.
