General Multivac

Just one year after revolutionizing belted chamber packaging equipment with the B310, Multivac Inc. has introduced its larger B610 as the latest model in this new generation of machinery. The B610 is the largest and highest-capacity belted chamber packaging machine available in N.A., offering ground-breaking hygienic and ergonomic features on an extraordinary scale.

The Multivac B610 has two 60-inch seal bars positioned 33-inches apart. A lid height of 11 inches allows for packaging of many of the largest food products and quantities.

The machine also offers a patented tilting lid to facilitate easier and more ergonomic cleaning and seal bar maintenance. Seal bar height adjustments are made easily and without tools through the IPC touch screen.

Additionally, the B610 is engineered with innovative valves to increase performance, speed ventilation and reduce energy consumption. Patented vacuum porting on the deck of the machine provides for faster cycle times while keeping moisture out of the vacuum pumps.

Lid movement and belt speed are controlled automatically through the intuitive IPC touch screen controls–standard on the B610–for optimal line efficiency. Further, powerful servo motors drive the movement of the lid and belt, reducing utility consumption by allowing for simultaneous motion using less compressed air. Excess pouch removal with trim cart is also available.

The B610 is built for interior/exterior washdown (IP65) and integrates seamlessly with downstream equipment such as Multivac SE130 shrink tunnels and TE130 drying tunnels.

Multivac will demonstrate the B610 at the 2010 Pack Expo inside Chicago’s McCormick Place convention center, booth E6242, October 31 through November 3.
