Free seminar demonstrates the power of the automation building blocks software.

Davis Controls Ltd., an Oakville, Ont.-based national distributor of process controls, instrumentation and factory automation, hosted a free seminar of the powerful SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) software InduSoft Web Studio, with participants in the event consisting of IT (information technology) and software specialists, as well as automation and controls engineers.

InduSoft Web Studio software provides all the automation building blocks required to develop HMIs (human-machine interface), SCADA systems and embedded instrumentation solutions. This software was specifically designed to allow for deployment anywhere and supports all Windows runtime platforms, along with built-in support for local or remote (web)-based visualization.

The software is suitable for a wide range of applications – everything from a 150 tag Windows CE HMI (first package to support CE) to a 10 million tag SCADA system with database/ERP (enterprise resource planning) connectivity, emailing alarms, redundancy, ActiveX and .NET controls, and security with traceability.

At a fraction of the cost of other products, InduSoft Web Studio provides free support and service packs, with annual license fees required, and no extra charge for over 240 drivers and OPC-connectivity.
