Fortress Technology, a global leader in the manufacture of metal detector systems, is pleased to announce the world wide release of their revolutionary FM software for Fortress metal detectors. This software has been developed to be compatible with all previously manufactured Fortress detectors and can be field installed on their Phantom and Stealth models.
The FM software analyzes the detection signal and uses an algorithm to calculate the signal strength based on a function of time and amplitude. This can significantly improve performance in certain applications, including large bags, by at least 40 per cent.
“This is great news for our existing customers who need to achieve better sensitivities to satisfy FSMA or customer specification requirements,” says Fortress Technology president Steve Gidman.
As part of their Never Obsolete commitment to their customers, this release reinforces the Fortress mandate to always develop their new technology to be backwards compatible and accessible without having to purchase an entirely new system.
They continue to provide complete support for their existing systems with readily available parts and a global service team for their customers.
