FLIR Introduces Add-On-Profile for Rockwell PLCs

New AOP creates new plug-and-play opportunities.

Burlington, Ont.-based FLIR Systems, pioneers in infrared technology, have recently released an Add-On-Profile (AOP) for the FLIR A3x0 Ethernet IP enabled camera models (see photo above).

The FLIR AOP creates a plug-n-play capability with Rockwell Automation PLC’s (programmable logic controllers).

The A3x0 systems provide uninterrupted, real-time temperature measurement and differential analysis, with automatic alarms and Ethernet/IP connectivity for easy networking and remote control without need of a computer.

Typical applications include process control in the food and automotive parts industries, flare stack monitoring and many fire prevention applications.
