Cute packaging a sweet deal for Mondelēz International.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas thanks to RPC Containers Blackburn’s packaging for festive Mondelēz International confectionery.

The site has developed five different gift packs for the company’s famous Maynards and Bassetts ranges, which are designed to give maximum on-shelf impact in the lucrative, and highly-competitive seasonal confectionery market.

The custom-molded PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) sweet jars, which will be available in the U.K. only, come in five different shaped designs; depicting Santa, an elf and a snowman for Maynards Christmas Jellies and a large Bertie Bassett and Jelly Baby for Bassetts Liquorice Allsorts and Jelly Babies.

The gift packs, which contain pre-bagged sweets, offer a strong point of sale presence and make great confectionery stocking fillers for the Christmas period.

RPC Blackburn used injection-stretch blow moulding to create the plastic jars, which stand on the caps to enhance the design. RPC Halstead supplies the caps for the Bassetts packs, and all varieties are shrink sleeved.

Kaitlin Rimington from Mondelēz International says: “RPC has done a fantastic job with our Christmas confectionery packs, helping us to achieve the biggest ‘Giving and Sharing’ launch for Mondelēz International Sugar for quite some time.”
