Toray Plastics (America), Inc., North America’s only manufacturer of precision-performance polyester and polypropylene film, recently announced the promotion of Michael Brandmeier to the position of senior vice-president and invited to be a member of the board of directors.
The transition took place on June 29, 2009 and encompasses the Torayfan Division (polypropylene), the Lumirror Division (polyester), and the Virginia-based Toray Plastics (America) PEF Division (olefin foams).
Brandmeier is simultaneously serving as general manager of the company’s Torayfan division, a position he has held since 2007, and has assumed greater responsibility for the expansion of OPP films from Toray Films Europe S.A.S. (TFE) in Rhône-Alpes, France which specializes in the production of Torayfan bi-axially oriented polypropylene high-barrier metallized packaging film.
Brandmeier’s joined the company in 1995 company as sales and marketing manager of the Torayfan Division. He also served as the division’s director, senior director and vice-president of sales and marketing.
