SCL formalizes agreement with Partners in Project Green

Toronto—Supply Chain & Logistics Canada (SCL) has formed a partnership with Partners in Project Green, to allow members of each association to access each other’s programs at no extra cost.
The two groups will also work together to leverage sustainability efforts, with the overall goal of helping members lower their costs and environmental impact.
“By allowing members access to both organizations’ programming and leveraging the resources, knowledge and skills of each group, we can accelerate the sustainability practices of our members,” said Toby Lennox, chair of the Partners in Project Green steering committee and vice-president of corporate affairs and communications with the Greater Toronto Airports Authority.
The two associations aren’t strangers. SCL has been involved with Partners in Project Green for more than 15 months.
“Now we are formalizing our relationship by officially signing this partnership agreement,” said Bob Armstrong, president of SCL. “We at SCL firmly believe that this partnership will help our members succeed in adopting sustainable practices, and we have been particularly pleased with the performance of Partners in Project Green.”
Focused on the area surrounding Toronto’s Pearson airport, Partners in Project Green is a community of businesses working together to green their bottom line. The group has created an internationally-recognized Eco-Business Zone around the airport, aimed at helping businesses reduce energy and resource costs, while uncovering new business opportunities.
