Featuring a restructuring of its North American operations, Bizerba USA and Bizerba Canada will unite under the management of Robert Slykhuis, who has accepted the position of chief executive officer for the newly formed entity of Bizerba North America.
Slykhuis, who joined Bizerba in 1999 as president of Bizerba Canada, brings with him a history of successful management positions with major food equipment manufacturers, and has helped the company induce steady growth while maintaining a dominant market share in the Canadian retail scale, food machine and weigh/price labeling markets.
Bizerba will maintain the existing physical locations now in use throughout North America. Slykhuis will introduce and oversee the planed unification of the sales force along with the integration of resources such as parts and service into the newly formed Bizerba North America.
The departing Andreas Kraut, who had been president of Bizerba USA, will continue the successful tradition of the Kraut family who founded the company in 1886. He will return to Bizerba GmbH corporate HQ in Balingen, Germany to assume a post on the executive management board, and will maintain market-related responsibilities for the newly combined North American region as well as Bizerba (U.K.) and for projects within Messkirch, Germany and at San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
