Pregis acquires PE sheet foam manufacturer Inter-Pac.

Pregis Corp., a leading supplier of protective packaging solutions, has acquired Inter-Pac, Inc., based in Tupelo, Miss., for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition will make Pregis the largest producer of polyethylene sheet foam in the United States.

Founded in 1960, Inter-Pac is one of the first protective packaging products manufacturers in the U.S.

“We are pleased to add Inter-Pac’s Tupelo facility to Pregis’ manufacturing footprint. Its geographic location will be an asset in servicing the protective packaging needs of our East Coast customers. This investment is the latest example of our commitment to our growth strategy,” says Pregis president and chief executive officer Kevin Baudhuin.

Pregis will continue to operate Inter-Pac’s 180,000-square-foot Tupelo manufacturing facility, with its 25 employees joining Pregis’ 2,000-member worldwide team.
