Leading packaging supplier Packaging Tape is more than tape, and rebrands itself to better represent it with its high-speed growth in industrial supply products and thousands of types of packaging offered.
WAUSAU, Wis.‚—Packaging Tape, Inc. (also known as “PTI” and “PTIPackaging.com“), a 58-year old packaging and industrial supply company has changed its name and rebranded itself as Rocket Industrial effective June 1, 2015.
When the company first started out in 1957, its primary product was packaging tape. But nowadays, the company offers thousands of different types of packaging and industrial supply products from hundreds of world-class brands.
“Over the past couple of years we have filled key leadership positions with experts in their respective fields, and improved our infrastructure, and supply chain. These changes have positioned Rocket Industrial to better serve our existing clients, and also allows us to scale our business, as needed, to service additional regions across the United States,” says Rocket Industrial president Ryan Gallagher. “We have extraordinary expertise in packaging, and provide outstanding service to our clients through a combination of speed, technology, and innovation—all represented in our new name.”
Rocket Industrial will continue to specialize in helping high-performance companies throughout the U.S. optimize packaging and automation processes by providing expertise across hundreds of best-in-class packaging and industrial brands, stocking thousands of products in warehouses located throughout the country.
The company, headquartered in Wausau, Wisconsin, was founded by Ray and Marie Goldbach, who also founded the Marathon Cheese Corporation. In total, Marathon Cheese, Rocket Industrial, and CleanFreak.com—a subsidiary of Rocket that specializes in selling professional cleaning supplies—employ well over a thousand people across the country. The companies remain privately owned by Marie Goldbach.
