New CIO for TricorBraun

General Bottles G. Douglas Bolen jars rigid packaging TricorBraun

Rigid packaging manufacturer names Bolen to watch over company technology.

TricorBraun, one of North America’s largest providers of jars, bottles and other rigid packaging components, has named G. Douglas Bolen its chief information officer.

Bolen will be responsible for overseeing and broadening technology’s role in TricorBraun’s strategic plan.

Says TricorBraun chief executive officer and president Keith J. Strope: “As the company prepares to cross the $1-billion sales threshold, we shall continue to expand our commitment to the use of information technology as a tool to continue to provide exceptional service to our customers and distinguish our company from others in our industry.”

Bolen joined TricorBraun in 2009 a its vice-president of technology. Prior to that, he was the director of business applications for Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation.
