Massman Automation acquires Bedford's packaging division

Massman Automation Designs, LLC of Villard, MN has acquired the Packaging Equipment Division of Bedford Technology LLC.
This acquisition complements Massman’s existing product lines and is expected to broaden its presence in the consumer packaging market.
According to Massman, the purchase will enable it to offer customers a wider range of products and solutions for recloseable packaging solutions including Tin Tie, Ring, and Twist tie machines.
Bedford Technology, based in Worthington MN, was started in 1998 to design and manufacture packaging equipment and to manufacture and sell plastic lumber.
Since then, Bedford Technology has steadily grown to produce packaging equipment for a variety of applications with or without tie reclosures. Bedford Technology will continue to operate its plastic lumber business going forward.
