General acquisition Labelad Labelink labels

Quebec label company purchases Labelad and increases its presence in Ontario.

Montreal—Labelink, headquartered in Montreal, Que., has announced it has acquired Labelad, a Markham, Ont. label manufacturer that went out of business a few weeks earlier.

Led by Labelink president Stephen Bouchard, it assumed the normal day-to-day management of the Labelad operation on August 3, 2012.

According to Bouchard, the acquisition of Labelad will result in cost-savings in the manufacture of pressure-sensitive, shrink sleeve and roll-fed labels as well as flexible packaging products. Other benefits to the combined customer base include a full manufacturing contingency support with multiple locations in Ontario and Quebec, not to mention a wider platform of new products into both regions, and a significant increase in both flexographic and digital print capacity.
