Awards recognize packaging, labels and products

Scottsdale, AZ—The In-Mold Decorating Association is taking entries for its 2011 IMDA Awards Competition.

The fifth annual contest recognizes companies based on creativity in design, engineering and innovation in the following categories:

  • Best part design
  • Best thin wall packaging
  • Best injection molded part
  • Best blow molded part
  • Best IMD durable product
  • Best label design
  • Best product family (common style or brand)

The deadline is June 1, 2011.

Last year, Quebec companies IML Labels Canada and LaCroix Packaging Inc. were recognized in the best injection molded part category.

Their Alouette Blue Cheese package lays flat or on its side, has clear packaging and can sprinkle cheese without the lid lifted.
