ILLIG strengthens presence in U.S. and Southeast Asia

Heilbronn, Germany—ILLIG USA L.P. sales and service station and ILLIG Far East service station will move into a new, larger facilities. Both locations were originally founded in 1996.
ILLIG is a global leading supplier of high-performance production lines and molds for thermoforming plastic materials as well as of solutions for the packaging industry. The company’s product and services portfolio comprises the development, design, fabrication, installation and start-up of complex manufacturing lines and individual components.
ILLIG USA just recently completed its move from Atlanta to Indianapolis, Indiana, as of April 1, 2014 (see image above), while ILLIG Far East service station will move into its new and considerably larger office at the end of this year, maintaining Greater Manila, Philippines as location.
These expansions of location showcase the stable market position ILLIG finds itself in the U.S. and the Southeast Asian market.
Space of more than 5382 square feet (500 square meters) is provided for ILLIG USA at the new Indianapolis premises. Besides functional and appropriate offices, a larger stock of spare parts is available now. There will also be a showroom and sufficient space for regular customer training is available. Indianapolis is situated in the center of the American plastics processors.
From there ILLIG USA L.P. delivers spare parts to all ILLIG customers in the U.S. and Canada and at the same time service is provided from there, too. ILLIG has been represented in the US for more than 40 years and traditionally there has been a relationship with Midwest Plastic Systems L.L.C., also domiciled in Indianapolis. They are in charge of sales for ILLIG in the American Midwest. The market situation for ILLG thermoforming lines in the US was very stable over the last years. Currently, there is an especially high demand for high-performance thermoformers for the production of cups of all shapes and sizes.
ILLIG Far East will stay in Greater Manila, Philippines, however, they will move into a considerably larger office.
From there, the service station will centrally-coordinate the service for ILLIG machines within an enormously large area. They are also in charge of on-site service in China, including Hong-Kong and Taiwan, through to Southeast Asia including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Vietnam.
Over the past few years China and Southeast Asia have developed into continuously growing markets for ILLIG, also with focus on machines of the RDM-K series. In answer to this growth, the ILLIG Far East service center have continuously increased the number of staff and they intend to hire further service engineers.
