GFTC Awards First Food Safety Compliance Designation

General Axiom Millwriting Food Safety Compliance Program GFTCThe Guelph Food & Technoogy Centre (GFTC) has taken a significant step in its efforts to help food companies mitigate food safety risks associated with contracted services presenting its first Food Safety Compliance designation to Axiom Millwrighting and Fabrication Inc. of Waterloo, Ont.
Unlike other food safety certification standards that are designed for food or packaging manufacturers, GFTC’s FSC program is geared specifically towards equipment manufacturers and installers.
The GFTC FSC program is a credible, rigorous, and scientifically based service that assesses a non-food company against criteria that define the company’s ability to design, develop and implement their product or service in a manner that is consistent with food safety and sanitary design principles and controls the food safety-related risks to their food-plant customers.
