Calber Winepak, North America’s largest distributor of wine bottles, has recently changed its name to better reflect its ownership by TricorBraun, North America’s largest distributor of glass and plastic packaging, and is now known as TricorBraun Winepak.
Although TricorBraun acquired Caliber WinePak in 1997, it did not change alter the company name at that time. But now – the name change is a reflection of the company to better reflect its overall company strengths and capabilities.
“The new name more accurately communicates the strength of our company and the sense of our brand as it is today and as we intend it to be,” says Keith J. Strope, TricorBraun president and chief executive officer.
“This change will differentiate us from our competition as it showcases our ability to provide more choices along with leadership strength and exceptional ongoing service. As in the past 10 years, TricorBraun shall continue to provide TricorBraun WinePak with global sourcing, sophisticated design and engineering capabilities, logistics management and repacking proficiencies,” explains George Dempsey TricorBraun’s chief operating officer.
Adds Andrew Bottene, vice president TricorBraun WinePak: “Although future plans are vibrant, we shall neither change our personnel nor their relationships with our customers.
“As North America’s leading wine bottle distributor, our relationship with Verallia (formerly Saint Gobain Containers) and other leading manufacturers will keep us at the forefront of innovation, quality and leadership. In addition to bottles, TricorBraun WinePak has access to capsules, Stelvin closures, bag-in-box and other specialty packaging applications.”
TricorBraun WinePak is located in Benicia, Ca. TricorBraun has more than 40 locations in Canada, the U.S. Mexico and Asia.
