BellatRx’s Alan Shuhaibar named to PMMI Board of Directors

Reston, Va.—PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, has announced its membership recently elected BellatRx Inc. president Alan Shuhaibar to PMMI’s Board of Directors. Shuhaibar will serve a four-year term, from January 1, 2014, through December 31, 2017.

BellatRx, headquartered in Pointe-Claire, QC, calls itself a developer of recovery and packaging solutions. It works with customers to reduce operating costs, reduce waste, improve sustainability for companies involved in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, healthcare and personal care packaging operations.

“We are pleased to welcome our newest board members to PMMI’s guiding body,” says PMMI nominating committee chairman, immediate past chairman Nick Wilson, who is also president and chief executive officer of Morrison Container Handling Solutions. “They each bring unique experiences and perspectives to the table, and will play a critical role in creating PMMI’s future.”

PMMI is a trade association representing more than 600 companies on the packaging and processing supply chain. BellatRx Inc., joined PMMI in 2007, and Shuhaibar currently chairs PMMI’s Business Intelligence Committee.

“Serving on the board of PMMI is a privilege. I’m honored to work with this group of dedicated leaders,” Shuhaibar says.

Shuhaibar is one of five incoming board members:

  • Pres Lawhon, president and general manager, Bosch Packaging Technology, Inc. of New Richmond, Wi.;
  • Martin Prakken, Chief executive officer, BluePrint Automation, Inc. of Colonial Heights, Va.;
  • Gary Saunders, president and chief executive officer, Magnum Systems, Inc. of Kansas City, Kan., and;
  • Gary Tantimonico, vice-president of operations, PDC International Corporation of Norwalk, Conn.

PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, is a trade association representing over 600 packaging and processing supply chain companies that provide a full range of packaging and processing machinery, materials, components and containers.
