Balluff names new N.A. president

Tony Canonaco to lead the American division of Balluff.

FLORENCE, KY—Balluff Inc., a leading sensor specialist and system provider and U.S. subsidiary of Balluff GmbH, Neuhausen, Germany, has appointed Tony Canonaco as president effective May 1, 2015 and chief executive officer effective August 1, 2015.

Kent Howard, previous president and chief executive officer, is transitioning into retirement and will move into the role of advisor to the president and Board of Directors.

Tony Canonaco joins Balluff with over 25 years of sales and leadership experience in the field of industrial automation.

Kent Howard adds, “We all welcome Tony into this new position at Balluff and look forward to a smooth transition as we continue to expand the business in the United States.”

Canonaco most recently worked at Omron as general manager and vice-president of sales for Canada. He also previously held positions at Danaher Motion, Bosch Rexroth, and Eaton in various leadership capacities. He received his MBA from Capital University and his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dayton.
