Industrial automation devices and controls supplier Carlo Gavazzi (Canada) Inc. of Mississauga, Ont., has appointed Duncan Curd as vice-president of sales, and Scott Packford as sales representative for western Canada, responsible for sales throughout the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Hartsville, S.C.-headquartered packaging products conglomerate Sonoco has appointed Robert Puechl as vice-president and general manager for the company’s Rigid Plastics division.

Electrical and electronic systems and technologies group Siemens Canada Limited of Mississauga, Ont., has appointed Joris Myny as vice-president of the company’s Industry Automation & Drive Technologies unit.

Glass containers manufacturer Owens-Illinois, Inc. (O-I) of Perrysburg, Ohio, has appointed Jay Scripter as vice-president of sustainability—responsible for development of strategies and initiatives to help O-I position glass as a sustainable packaging material for an expanded range of consumer packaging applications.

Machine vision systems manufacturer Cognex Corporation of Natick, Mass., has appointed Robert Willett as president of the company’s Modular Vision Systems Division.

Motoman, Inc., Dayton, Ohio-headquartered manufacturer and integrator of robotic systems for packaging, palletizing and other industrial applications, has appointed Steve Barhorst as president and chief operating officer.

Swiss-based specialty inks, pigments and chemicals manufacturer Clariant Masterbatches has appointed Peter Prusak as head of the company’s North American packaging segment business, in addition to his current duties as director of market development for the company’s Charlotte, N.C.-headquartered Masterbatches Division, North America unit.

Klöckner Pentaplast Group, Montabaur, Germany-headquartered manufacturer of plastic films for pharmaceutical, food-and-beverage, electronics and general-purpose thermoform packaging applications, has appointed Hans-Joachim Kogelnik as chief operating officer for the company’s European operations.
