Alan Robinson, former president and chief executive officer of the PAC, dies peacefully after long illness on December 6, 2013.

Toronto—After battling a long illness, Alan Robinson, the former leader of the PAC (Packaging Association of Canada and now knows the PAC—The Packaging Association) passed away on December 6, 2013.

Alan was the president of the PAC from 1986-2006, and worked tirelessly to promote the ideals of the association across a vast spectrum of industries.

Prior to his work with the PAC, Alan was a successful politician, first as an alderman, MPP for Scarborough-Ellesmere and an appointment as an Ontario Cabinet Minister under the Honourable William Davis. Before his political career, he was an award-winning print and radio journalist with the CBC National Radio News, the Toronto Star and the Canadian Press, and more.

Visitation begins 12 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2013, with a 1PM service at St. John’s Norway Anglican Church in Toronto.

The family notes that donations can be made to the Trillium Gift of Life Foundation.
