PAC – The Packaging Association is putting out the call for entries for its PAC Leadership Awards.
The PAC, as North America’s voice of the packaging industry, is offering two competitions: PAC Packaging Competition on May 7, 2011, and; PAC Sustainable Packaging Competition on April 18, 2011.
During the 2011 PACEX Toronto tradeshow this June 21-23, the PAC will host its PAC Leadership Awards Gala at the Toronto Congress Centre.
The biennial national packaging competition builds on a 50-year-old tradition of the PAC promoting a better awareness of excellence in the industry, recognizing those involved in the design, conversion and manufacture of the latest packaging developments.
Bruce Smith, director of global packaging with Molson Coors Brewing Company states: “On Earth Day 2008, PAC launched their inaugural Sustainable Packaging competition acknowledging the best in class sustainable products and processes. Recognizing industry leaders in sustainability promotes the industries. The PAC Leadership awards is an industry leading platform recognizing sustainable packaging best practices and innovation in technical and graphic achievement.”
Aubrey Ferguson, president of Bridgmark Branding says, “This is a truly unique forum to showcase the great work that designers and the overall packaging industry are doing and to have it recognized by one’s peers. We’re long time participants because we see it as a special way to say thanks to our clients for the opportunity to ply our craft.”
Bob Cockerill, regional managing director, Schawk! explains: “The PAC Leadership Awards continue to showcase innovative thinking in packaging, fresh compelling designs and technical excellence. This measure of excellence both confirms the quality of work the industry is delivering which could not be achieved without our client-partners.”
